MyOwnBiz LLC ("MyOwnBiz," "we," "our," or "us") provides scheduling, customer management, invoicing, and payment processing software for small service businesses. Our platform is available at myownbiz.app and through our iOS and Android applications.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information (Business Owners)

• Name, email address, and password when you create an account
• Business name, logo, brand colors, and service details you provide
• Billing information processed securely through Stripe (we never store card numbers)

Customer Data (Your Clients)

• Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and addresses you enter for your customers
• Service history, notes, job photos, and invoices you create
• Service requests submitted by your customers through your booking page

Usage Data

• Log data including IP addresses, browser/device type, and pages visited
• Feature usage patterns to improve the product

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the MyOwnBiz platform
• To process payments through our payment partner, Stripe
• To send transactional emails (invoices, booking confirmations, service reminders)
• To respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data or your customers' data to anyone. Ever.

4. Data Security

We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard protections:

• Encryption in transit: All data is transmitted over HTTPS using SSL/TLS encryption
• Encryption at rest: All stored data is encrypted at rest on our cloud infrastructure
• Database isolation: Each business account is separated at the database level using Row Level Security — no account can access another's data
• Payment security: All payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. We never store, transmit, or have access to credit card numbers
• Access controls: Your account is protected by password authentication. We recommend using a strong, unique password

5. Data Sharing

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data
• Supabase: Our database and authentication infrastructure provider
• Vercel: Our hosting platform
• Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process

We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access: You can access and download your data at any time from your account settings
• Correction: You can update your account information at any time
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at keith@myownbiz.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days
• Portability: You can export your customer and job data in CSV format

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records).

8. Children's Privacy

MyOwnBiz is intended for use by adults operating businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Your continued use of MyOwnBiz after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
